Apply for Free In-Person Tutoring

Our free in-person tutoring program pairs underprivileged students with volunteer tutors for face-to-face sessions at no cost. To apply, email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Tutoring Application" and tell us a little about your situation.

Income Verification

Because spots are limited and priority is given to students with the greatest financial need, we may ask applicants to provide documentation of household income before a tutor is assigned. This helps us make sure the program reaches those who need it most.

Acceptable documents depend on your country of residence:

  • United States: most recent W-2, a federal tax return (Form 1040), or an official letter showing participation in a means-tested program such as SNAP, Medicaid, or free/reduced-price school lunch.
  • Other countries: an equivalent government-issued income statement, tax document, or benefits letter translated into English if necessary.
  • No documentation available? Contact us anyway — we will consider each case individually and may accept alternative evidence of financial need.

All submitted documents are used solely to assess eligibility and are deleted once a decision is made. We do not store or share income documents.
