What We Do
clep.ai provides free AI-powered tutoring and unlimited practice tests for students preparing to pass CLEP (College-Level Examination Program) exams. Passing a CLEP exam earns real college credit — skipping entire courses and saving hundreds or thousands of dollars in tuition.
We cover all 33 CLEP subjects, from College Algebra and Biology to American Literature and History. For each one you can study with our AI tutor, work through targeted questions, and take as many realistic, timed practice tests as you need — every part of it completely free.
Why We Exist
Quality test prep has always cost money. Private tutors, paid practice platforms, and prep books are out of reach for many students — especially first-generation and low-income college students who stand to benefit most from CLEP exams.
clep.ai exists to close that gap. We believe every student deserves access to the same quality preparation, regardless of their financial situation — because opportunity should be earned through effort, not bought.
How clep.ai Works
Getting started is simple. Pick your exam from our list of CLEP subjects, study with the AI tutor that explains concepts and answers your questions at your own pace, then take unlimited practice tests that mirror the real exam format — complete with detailed answer explanations. When you feel ready, you sit the official CLEP exam and earn real college credit.
Who We Serve
CLEP works for every kind of learner, and so do we: high school students getting a head start, adult and returning students, homeschoolers, military service members, and anyone who has built up knowledge through work, self-study, or life experience. Our free in-person tutoring program is designed especially for students who need extra, hands-on support to succeed.

How We're Funded
As a non-profit, clep.ai is supported by donations, grants, and the time of our volunteers. The platform is 100% free for students — no subscriptions, no paywalls, no ads. All funding goes directly into building and maintaining the tutoring, practice tests, and study tools.
