What is CLEP?
CLEP — the College-Level Examination Program — is a set of exams administered by College Board that let you earn college credit for knowledge you already have. Instead of sitting through a semester-long course, you take a single exam: pass it, and many colleges award you the same credit toward your degree.
It's one of the fastest, most affordable ways to move through college. A single CLEP exam can replace a full introductory course — saving you weeks of class time and, often, hundreds of dollars in tuition and fees. Students use CLEP to skip requirements they've already mastered, graduate sooner, and keep the cost of a degree down.

Our story
clep.ai started with a simple belief: earning college credit shouldn't depend on your zip code or your family's income. Too many capable students are held back by the cost of test prep — expensive tutors, paywalled materials, and limited guidance.
CLEP exams are a powerful shortcut: one exam can equal a full semester of college credit. We built clep.ai as CLEPAI Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, to make world-class CLEP preparation free for every student — because opportunity should be earned through effort, not bought.
